Should this boy have been swinging on a rail inside the supermarket? Is it not the fault of the parents in charge, who are now suing Somerfields. Personally I think too many children run around supermarkets misbehaving and causing havoc. A very sad story.

One of few threads on here where everyone agrees.

I was at ASDA earlier. A boy around 3 was in a trolley and his older sister was pushing it into the car park and it hit a car. I said to the mother who was egging them on, picking her nose and on her mobile, 'you should tell them to stop that or they will cause an accident. Reply? 'F... you c... and mInd your own'.

If social services had been at hand I would have given them a call. I told her the same and she went white lol.
Mmmm, that's what I meant about sewer type mouths earlier socket!

I was once walking alongside a 'chavvy' woman who was screaming at her young son "If you carry on, blah, blah, blah....I'll knock you to the other side of that f*****g road". He replied "Yeah & I'll report you to the police & you'll go to prison". She replied "Good, at least I'll get away from you, you little b*****d".

I briefly glanced at her & shook my head - she then shouted at me "You got a problem love?" I ignored her & walked back to my car.
I will never understand how any parent can even think of suing over the loss of a child. They haven't suffered any financial loss and no amount of money can even start to compensate for the loss of a child. Will they have a wild spending spree if they get "compensated"? It sickens me that they can even consider such a tragic event as an opportunity to make money.
it's very sad, a child has died but for heaven's sake.. should they have carpeted the supermarket floor?

they've lost their child but it was an accident, simple as that.
