She has read all the jacklyn wilson ones and enid blytons so was just wondering if anyone could recommend any similar books for her?

Thanks. xx

Hi my daughter is now 12 and has also read all Jacqueline Wilson and Enid Blyton. She reccommends trying Cathy Cassidy who is quite similar to Wilson.

She also says Michael Lawrence is a very funny author (especially Jiggy Mccue books) although he is not a 'girly' author- but your neice may like them.
Hope this helps. mumx

Thanks so much ' mumof3angels ' That is really helpful. xx Tell you daughter thank you!!!
"Sophie and the Pancake Plot; Sophie and the Locust Curse, Sophie and the Albino Curse", all by Stephen Davies. All of the books by Steve Cole are very funny, and not too long. I would recommend all these to her.

Thanks Jonnyboy, again, really helpful, cheers!
Jiggy Mccue books are really good, i used these to read to my boys but my daughter also loved them. She also loves Jacqueline Wilson, she also recommends Roald Dahl and Karen McCombie (very girlie) and she also loves the fairie books (sunshine fairie etc)
Cathy Cassidy is good, but some of her stories are a little mature for some ten year olds. Depends on the individual really.

Meg Cabot's Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls books may appeal, as the characters are slightly younger than those in her teen books.
