I tried to boil off burnt-n cheese sauce from my mum's nice saucepan & I let it boil dry! I'm worried I've ruined the pan completely. Any suggestions on how I can repair the damage would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Have you got some Coca Cola ?
Cover the burnt bits and bring it to the boil ,then the burnt bits should come off with the help of a brillo if it's a stainless steel pan.You may have to do it a couple of times if it's really grotty .

Buy a new saucepan... Job done.

Put some washing powder and a wee bit of salt in the pan, fill with hot water and simmer for 15 mins. The burned bits will easily scrub off. Tried and tested!
cut some rhubarb bring to the boil and wipe all your burn bits off saw this on a kim and aggie programme looked as good as new

I let my potatoes boil dry and pan was really burned. I poured some water and bleach in it and simmered for about 20mins. Good as new.
Apparently a biological washing powder soak works, although I have not had the need to try it. Good luck
