I suspect it has to be cut out.
You could try holding ice to it, then teasing it out.
Try using a few drops of baby oil or olive oil (failing that cooking oil would do) gently rubbed in to the affected hair a few strands at a time, it makes it easy to get the gum off.
I've heard the baby oil thing works well
I had to cut it out
Someone told me to use fly spray and then comb it out - I did and it worked!
Apparently Peanut butter is meant to work, and if not then just have a suck on the hair!! (As long as your not allergic to nuts!!)
Well, when stuck on clothes you're supposed to be able to put in the freezer for a bit, after which it'll fall right off...perhaps you could...nah - perhaps you couldn't...
