Thank you DrFilth.
I clicked on "my profile" but simply got a box headed :
Questions - Total 10
Removed -0
Answers - Total 138
Removed-6

Clicking on any of these has no effect - what am I doing wrong?
( You will gather that I am a Computosaurus!)
one cannot, one can only look in one's profile and see which of one's own threads have been removed. lol

Did this help one? : ))
Fourwinds. First go to 'My Profile'. Then where you saw the numbers relating to the questions, look further down to the bottom of the block, and you will see -
'Threads I'm involved in' - 'My questions' - 'Questions I have answered', etc.
Click on 'Questions I have answered', and all the questions you have answered will be shown in a drop down list, which you can scroll down to see what is there, and what is not. Hope this helps.
But if their answer has been removed, the question will no longer be on thier list. And it never seems to actually work anyway.

SCHUTZENGEL !!! You are a born teacher !!
I have followed your instructions and have found the answer I need.
I just didn't scroll(?) down sufficiently far.
Perhaps my brother was correct when, in exasperation, he said I was " an educated idiot" !!
Thank you.

Hello dot.hawkes -
One is very happy to have you answer one's query!!!!!!!

I used the pronoun "one" because in this day and age one must be very aware of all the politically correct laws(?) / restrictions under which we live.
This is exactly the reason why I posted(?) this question.
I do not consider that any of my answers were offensive, abusive, vulgar, racist, inflammatory or in any other way upsetting to any person or group of persons.
Therefore I would like to know the reason why some of my answers were removed.
No hard feelings, just an honest enquiry !
Oh ok, so why were they removed then? Does it tell you? Can you remember what the answers were?

No ,not in detail until I master this clicking/linking thing.
I have had a response(s) removed from a "thread" ( is that the correct terminology?) about supporting an AUTISM BILL being debated on Friday 27th Feb. in Parliament.
I have been e-corresponding with an equally-concerned relative of an autistic child.
Is this sufficiently offensive to be removed ?

Unless you're in the habit of making offensive posts (which I'm certainly not suggesting) the usual reason for 'deleted answers' is simply that AB's pathetic technology thinks that you've made duplicate posts.

Here's the usual scenario:
You type your answer and click 'Submit'.
AB's server receives your reply.
AB's server should now respond by updating the page to show your post but nothing seems to happen. (i.e. the page appears to freeze).
You click 'Submit' again.
AB's server receives the post again but spots that it's a duplicate, so it ignores it but increases your 'deleted answers' score by one.
With a bit of luck AB's server now refreshes your page.
If not, you click 'Submit' again and, once more, your 'deleted answers' score goes up by one.

Chris
Oh I think that was possibly a duplicate thread, the poster put it uop a couple of times, i responded on the one from the afternoon and then they put it up again later on, but it had already been up a day or so before, maybe that is it too Chris.

Thanks Chris for that "info".( I'm gradually picking up the modern vocabulary!)
Being a "computosaurus", as previously stated (maybe I should change my name to that!), that's probably the reason for the non-appearance of my replies. I shall be more careful in future.
Muchas Gracias !! ( probably all wrong linguistically, but I hope you know what I mean.
