knox had already posted this in Quizzes & Puzzles, where I have pointed out that 'et al' is NOT Latin for 'and all' , but short for 'et alii/aliae/alia', meaning 'and others'.

As I said there, neither of these will go into Latin, and the latter isnt even English if you ask me!
I privately wondered, therefore, what answer the q could possibly have been expecting. Now I see it was in the Daily Record. Well what do you expect if you do Daily Record quizzes? I suppose if the question was wrong, the answers here must be right. No, that's faulty logic. I mean 'right for the Daily Record'.
