Can anyone tell me, if you jog at a very steady pace on a treadmill for 15 minutes:

1) how many calories do you burn?
2) how far would you have gone? (please don't say, no where, it's treadmill ..... I mean how far would it be on the road!!!)

Thanks

In 15 minutes you wouldn't burn many calories. It's hard to say, why don't you just look at the display on the Treadmill, it will tell you average calories burned and distance.

A moderate jog speed would be between 7.8 and 8.5kms and you might burn up to 150 calories in 15 minutes.

Thanks both ... there isn't a display on the treadmill, hence the question Velvetee .... but thanks for the guidance - really helpful. And thanks for your reply too Knobbsworth .... I hope I am closer to 240 then 150 but who knows .... at least its more exercise than I did in the previous two weeks put together!!! LOL
Why don't you buy yourself a pedometer that could tell you how far you are going and how many calories you burn?
Because it will all depend on your weight and fitness and the speed you run.
Hope this helps.
