just finished and wondered, yes sad i know, if you have a system when you do your cleaning, like starting in the bedroom or the bathroom, do you do it all in one go?

Have a glass of chilled pinot instead & slob on the sofa with a novel.
Watch deal or no deal.
Cook up something delicious.
Anythng but the hoover....... Hoovering is a morning job only - so leave it til the next morning.

loftylotty you must be my twin - have pets, live on a farm -horses, sheep, dogs excess of mud. too much fun stuff to do to make pristine cleaning a priority but do have to muck out on a daily basis which at least stops the wildlife colonising the place. in answer to the original post - think the best way to clean a house is however it suits you, preferebly wearing dark glasses and hold a glass of red.

Ha, ha Christine. What is important to remember is set your own standards and don't worry what others think. It took me quite a while to learn to be like that!!

I am still trying to work my standards out though. Clean sinks and loos are always my priority - and a clean work surface when dealing with food. The rest can wait.
