Im just about to make a pot of chicken and rice soup.I took the chicken breasts out of the freezer yesterday. They are uncooked .Do I have to cook them first or just chop them up and put straight into the pot raw.

I would cook them in the pot, will give xtra flavour!!
Do as Puddicat says. But much of the flavour of chicken stock comes from the fatty bits of the chicken which your breast fillets won't have, so add a chicken stock cube or two.

Thanks thats just what ive done and put a good spoonful of bouillon in as well
Another tidbit: I read in a cooking magazine that ground chicken, w/water, and properly cooked makes good broth. It suggested adding commercial broth to it for a quickie
