Hi, I'm a 23 year old girl, and in the last week or so, I have noticed that when I go to the toilet, I sometimes s*** blood.
It doesn't happen all the time, just a couple of times.
The first time, there were just a few specks of blood when I wiped my bum.
Then it stopped. Couple of days later, the toilet bowl had quite a bit of blood in it.

I think I will have to see the doctor. But in the meantime, does anyone know possible causes as to why this is happening?

piles
get it checked out but probably nothing to cure them
they will come and go
see the doctor by all means, it may only be piles or maybe a fissure
As said above, more likely to be piles or similar than anything else but no-one on here can say for sure.

Get checked out by your GP.
Yep - if it is bright red, then nothing really serious.

See your GP, and don't strain when you go to the loo
You need to drastically change your diet i would imagine, if you are eating alot of mcdonald takeaways and no fruit, veg or cereal thgen you are totally bunged up and need a detox. Cut out any white bread and drink lots of water.
Agree with ethel, if it's bright red then should be OK, if it's dark blood get to a doctor.
Unless you're spitting blood - that's something else. :)
If the blood is bright red then worry as that's haemorage and needs urgent attention. If its dark coloured its less to worry but if its not menstruation then see a doc
could be piles, or blood could be a sign of internal bleeding or even bowel cancer! go get this checked!!!
bright red could also be a fissure or piles teram, dark red could also be serious bowel problems or ulcers..!!

did you say you were an ambulance technician once?
Bleeding or blood in stools is either piles (usually), a fissure, ulcerative colitis or bowel cancer. It is really unlikely to be the latter since you are so young, but either way you should go to the Doc.
somtime i get blood in mine only when its a big one
