if a company changes its name and has a new owner then the boss goes and sells the company am i still entitled to redundancy pay? i have been continuiously employed with this company prior to and after the name of the company changed names for 5 years the name changed earlier this year. can anyone help please

Yes - this process is called TUPE - transfer of undertakings, protection of employment. It means that the new owner has to transfer you on employment terms that are pretty much similar. This includes your right to a length of service as if you had always worked for the one company.
You require continuous employment for over two years to be able to claim a redundancy payment - if indeed that occurs.
