Mt tree is suddenly dying

About 5 years ago I planted a mature (10ft) pine in my garden. Year on year it has flourished and grown to abour 13 feet.

During the recent severe winds it took quite a battering - so much so that the ground arouns the base cracked in places.

I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that the needles have been shedding to extent that the branches are nearly bare and I'm worried that it may be dying.

Has anyone else experienced anything like it? Could it be in shock or is it likely I'm going to lose it?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds as tho the tree has suffered some wind rock which has damaged the root system. You probably need to firm the ground, secure the tree and hope for the best. A three cable system would be the most efficient way providing you have the space.
