Hi, I have a lovey pair of gold effect fashion earrings, by Citrine by the stone (cost a fortune) but have noticed the two bottom discs have gone a sort of antique gold and the top gold disc have stayed the same 'brightish' gold.

I prefer the old gold effect so my question is does anyone know how to tarnish the other part to get rid of the bright gold effect? Is there any such thing I can buy to tarnish bright gold?

Thanks.

I'd have the citrines taken out and re-set in something else. They'd look OK in red gold. but the stones aren't precious enough to warrant the cost of it, so how about an "antique" metal, or even silver? A jeweller could help.
