I am starting my new diet tomorrow - I am twice the girl that I should be. I had a look at the fleabags and they are gaining weight, not yet fat but not as sleek as they once were. Well - Merlin is actually just one big ball of long hair but she has curves where she shouldn't have. They have dried food down all the time - usually Iams. They only non-cat food that they have is roast beef as a treat. The problem area is the sachets of cat food, usually Felix of Tesco's. They were 18 months old when I got them in February 2007 and the girl told me that they got a sachet between them in the morning as a treat and again at night. The sachets are now expected every time I move, even if I am just scratching myself. Frankie sits and cries pitifully and tries to climb my leg when I am using the computer. If I ignore them will they stop doing this begging stuff? How long before they stop - days or weeks or months? They drive me nuts. Frankie has the most pitiful little cry. Help before they decide to eat me!

I suspect, wolf, that this is a bit like leaving a baby to cry......except moggies will follow you around-shouting and begging. Better you than me,lol When I got Cleo as a rescue, she was SOOOO good -ate when I put food down-then disappeared. She soon turned into an eating monster...if mum ws in the kitchen-then food was on offer. Trouble is-they give you that"look".....even when your back is turned. I think you will just have to leave the house-lol...good luck!!

What did you do to change from a Freak to a Maniac? Have you been talking to the bad people in Chatterbank?

The 'look' is one thing - but the crying is heart breaking. And when I do feed him he scoffs it down so fast he sometimes barfs it back up again. Merlin is the one who looks fat - she's big boned!

How is Cleo?

Hi-have just sent you a PM x
