If you don't like how someone lives their life then stay away. Who is to say, who is right and wrong? They are only wrong by our standards and are perfectly acceptable to other countries.

I'm guessing that most of you have never been brought up in a culture where idolotry is considered to be a very serious matter indeed. Once upon a time it was in the UK.
So what would happen in this country? If a foreign teacher at a UK school called the school mascot 'Jesus Christ', I expect that the teacher involved would be sacked fairly quickly, it would almost certainly get in the tabloids, and there would be widespread disapproval. Just as much invective, bile and hate would be chanted as in the Sudan, but this would probably be done on sites like this, or quiet little corners in the pub.
I think the sentence is ridiculous. I think ALL religion is beneath contempt.

i think that this just proves what a weak nation we are goverened by idiots ,a teacher names a teddy bear mohammed (apparantly the little boy who named him is called mohammed ) and she is put in jail for 2 weeks and there are riots in the streets demanding the death penalty for her ,she has insulted islam etc etc she should have been aware of this ,ie when in Rome do as Rome does ,EXCEPT when these same people come to our country and demand and get 3 bed council houses (paid for by us the tax payer )also dole money to feed their many children (also paid for by us the tax payer) free national health ,although they have not contributed one penny towards it , as enjoy freespeech in this country they are allowed to preach hatred and brain wash their youngsters to hate all white people and claim it is righteous to be a suicide bomber - Abu Hamsah used to spout racial hatred from his mosque , we are told we have to respect the women who chose to wear the veil WHY ? how about these fanatics living by OUR laws for a change ---- I'm sorry for the long rant but this has really got to me
Some interesting points there. I think I'd have to go along with squarebear's first comment on this - 'I think getting shot is a bit severe'.
Sudan's actions and the ranting rentmob now seem to be receiving almost universal condemnation from everyone outside Sudan, muslims included.
With that in mind, I think anyone showing empathy or attempting to justify such behaviour, is quite frankly just demonstrating what an @rsehole they are.
