My bible at the moment is 'The Pagan Religions of the Ancient British Isles' by Ronald Hutton. That is for uni stuff mind you. Id love to read 'The Time Travelers wife' again by Audrey Niffenegger. I have also been recommended 'Northern Lights' by Philip Pullman. Anyone got any views on this book?

haven't heard of it.... i'll look into it
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - by Mark Haddon. A very poignant tale, written from an autistic person's viewpoint.

Ice - I loved it that is an awesome book, one of my faves
Farenheit 451 is a bout a life in the future where all books are banned and firemen are people who create the fires to burn the books. In the book one man and a young girl struggle with these laws as it is really a way of keeping the people uneducated and easily influenced. i have not read it in a looooong time but thought it was OK.

I like To Kill a Mockingbird-Harper Lee
The Lovely Bones-Alice Sebold
The Color of Water-James Mcbride (a memoir)
Fences- August Wilson (a play)

I am ashamed to admit I have never read 1984. I might lose my EngTeach status for that one. :)
