What is the liklihood of stunted growth after taking accutane? My daughter, 12, is being considered for this treatment by her dermatologist. She has tried all the antibiotics already. Thanks... it's a worrisome thought... at 12, she still has so many inches to grow!

http://www.accutane-side-effects.com/ the list of side effects are quite frankly horrifying!! I would htink long and hard aoubt putting your child on something this harsh, especially one so young as she has yet to come into full blown adolescence. Speak to the dermatologist first and foremost. Best of luck to you both, hugs to your DD - I am sure this must be very hard on you both. xxxx
Please check out this site for concerns re the use of accutane or roaccutane as it is known on this side of the Atlantic. http://www.accutaneaction.com/
what an excellent link you posted DOB. How scary is this drug? And how on earth is it allowed to be prescribed? xxx
has she tried tackling her problem by improving her gut health at all? tbh all those antibiotics are doing no good at all! http://www.whatreallyworks.co.uk/start/kidszone.asp?article_ ID=146
