Going back a bit, but my mum's cousin Tony Meehan (with Jet Harris) had a No.1 in 1963 with 'Diamonds', on which he let fly with the drums.

Not exactly a solo but go for 'No-one Knows' by Queens of the Stoneage.

Dave Groll guessed on that track and it has some of the best drumming I have ever heard. Watch the video though on Youtube to see DG beating the hell out of those drums!

"I'm Lost Without You" by Blink 182, it was on their untitled (self-titled)album. Drummer was Travis Barker. You could also try "Moby Dick" by Led Zeppelin off the album "Led Zeppelin II"
