I think, Someguy, you've just about knocked it on the head (no pun intended). We all have our likes and dislikes where appearance concerned, but if someone's a decent person (and I guess that's also a matter of opinion) then it doesn't matter what they look like.

I met a bloke on Sunday who is naturally bald and wears a couple of (real) gold necklaces. If I'd rejected him on appearance then I'd have missed out on meeting one of the nicest guys I've ever met (not that I fancy him, 'cause he's 82 and he's not my type, besides which I'm happily hooked up, thank you).
