Change mother's name on birth certificate?

If the wrong name was put on the birth certificate can it be changed?
Please provide any case law etc.
This is the case of a father registering the birth but not putting the mother's correct name on the certificate.

There is a way around it, you can contact the GRO (General Register Office -www.gro.gov.uk. They should be able to advise you accordingly
i doubt if u would be allowed to change it after a certain amount of time has gone by.
The birth certificate is a historical document recording things as they were sort of around the date of brith.

IF there has been a mistake, I think you can get it corrected.


There has been a recent act of parliament making changes in birth certs easier and not harder
