fuji camera

I have a fuji f460 digital camera. I have just put the data card in the card reader to download onto my laptop. There were 181 images of our med cruise on but it only downloaded 126 and cleared the rest from the card. Is there any miraculous way i can recover them from the card. I feel gutted.
