I have been a member here for about 2 days now and I have been watching for about 2 weeks, can you tell me a little something about yourselfs just to get an idea of what everyones like? Thanks. Ill go first, I am 20 ilike in Bromley, I am with someone we have been together for about 4 years, i have three dogs and i was the swiimming championship for my school.

I'm 28 years old, work in training. No kids.
I've been a member of AB for about 2 and a half years now - came on here seeking advice about my car originally, have now posted about 200 questions and given over 1000 answers.
I try to stay out of the fights as I think it lowers the tone of what is essentially a good site, but sometimes I get involved, especially if someone says something that I strongly disagree with.
I tend to answer questions in Jobs and Education as I used to be a Recruitment Manager, but also answer a lot in Body and Soul - putting my stellar (?) history with guys to good use by offering my experience to people who are in similar situations to what I have been in in the past among other things!

I'm just curious though Andy, why DID you change your original ID to a variant of your name? You weren't always andy-hughes and i'm a bit confused by all the similar andy hughes' which have been popping up on AB lately.

Hi enigma

You are quite right - I used to be 'andy ughes' which is my name, and obviously I used to by-line my features on the AB with it.

Sometime in the distant past, my PC frizzed, and my ID got scuppered, so i had to ditch it, and re-register, which I did as 'andy-hughes', and thus I remain.

I haven't noticed any other 'andy hughes' monikers - maybe i just don;t visit the sections they use, but this is me - accept no substitute!

Hi Andy. There have indeed been a few andy hughes on here and in fact, there was a post a short while ago from someone claiming to know the REAL (???) andy hughes and claimed that he was deceased as his name is greyed out at BT! At that time there were posts from Andy Hughes (upper case letters you will note), andy-hughes (your ID), Andy-Hughes (upper case, hyphenated) and the one which I remember from my early days was andy hughes. There were others with various squiggles and symbols if I recall correctly and it was REALLY bizzarre. A bit like ABs very own 'Stars In Their Eyes' haha. Well they do say that imitation is the best form of flattery but it was a bit nutty because each moniker was claiming to have been employed by BT, had three daughters and worked in the music industry. I think that I will have to ask the ED to set the sniffer dogs on you to see if you pass the test then Andy hee hee.

You even had a thread dedicated to you which was asking if the 'real' you was still around. Must be great to be popular haha but now you have just caused further confusion by claiming to have previously been andy ughes! Ughes? My head still hurts from the last bout of confusion lol!!!

Thanks for your comments enigma - this whole 'imposter' thing has slipped right by me, I knew nothing at all about it!
