can anyone tell me whether a milege of 70,000+ on 1999 KA is too high and would it be worth buying a car with so many miles? thanks

No, average, and yes if looked after.
Typically what you should do work on 10,000 miles a year on average. So this KA being 8 years old the mileage is about average. As long as the KA has a full service history you should be ok buying it, any discrepencies forget about it and keep looking.

Although why you would want an egg on wheels i dont know! lol
Average mileage a year is around 12000, so in theory it is reasonable.However these cars tend to be owned by ladies who only use them for local shopping trips rather than motorway jouneys so I would of thought you could pick one up with less miles on.Make sure whatever you buy that it has good service history and most cars need a cambelt change between 50-60k miles which is expensive so make sure this has been done.If it breaks then so does your engine.
