Where does the phrase 'Have a butchers' come from?

I was in Egypt recently and thought it was hilarious when a local man tried to entice me into his shop and used that phrase! Another local greeted me with the term, "Nice to see you, to see you nice!". Hahahaha!

Can't help you with the actual Q, but when I was there alot seemed to say "lovely jubbly" which had us doubled up with laughter.

I went to Sharm el Sheikh. Didn't hear anybody using 'shufti'.

It was a great holiday thanks, BOO. We had a real laugh! :o)
