Could someone tell me which would be the best and most reasonable laptop to buy for someone who simply wants to surf the net and perhaps type the odd letter. I want to be able to take it away with me as I suffer withdrawal symptoms when I haven'e access to my PC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daft I know, but I really miss not being able to get to my computer when I am away.
Thank you

Well it seems about 300 is the low price point for buying a laptop.

Here is a HP for 300 from a web site called ebuyer.com but never used the site so not sure how good they are:

It has Windows XP rather than Vista but is probably a good thing.
Tesco also do some laptop deals, see here

This is their cheapest laptop, at 400, although they do seem to have a couple of others at the same price:

Woolworths also do laptops.

This seems to be their cheapest, although it does have only 512Mb of memory (which is a bit low for Windows Vista)
