If you do worse in your re-takes than the original exam do you need to keep the re-take grade or can you use the original mark you got in the first place?

When I did my A-level resit, I got to keep my better mark but at uni, if you resit at mine anyway, the maximum you can get is 40% so check it out with your school/uni
