Did Maude mean Nearctic?
I see that hopalong has supplied the wrong answer to the Mail's Crossword [check your Collins dictionary] so the prizemoney has to go to bernardo. You were very close Maude!
Oh dear typing too fast and too late (about 2.30 in the morning!)... of couse the answer is nearctic... which is on my prize winning entry.xxx
I have visions of everyone frantically filling in the final answer and posting off their 'winning' entry. Since it's the luck of the draw - Good Luck everyone, especially Maude and RosyNothing!!.........John
As with Rosey, my typing fingers went their own way. Of course I meant Nearctic. Thanks Bernardo and John. Its back into the garden for me (ooooer).
