Norton has installed a status bar on my screen, just under the address bar, thus reducing the already minimal space I have on my small screen. And all it says is 'Engine Error'. How do I get rid of it? Can't seem to drag it away, no options appear when I right-click etc

(Please don't bother telling me I should never have Norton in the first place, as I know many will want to do.)

Try 'view' > toolbars ,if it appears there simply un-tick it. You can also press f11 to get a full screen view t

bingo! Magnum of champagne is in the mail to you bimbim... I figured there must be a simple way, but was too ignorant to know where to find it.
Thanks very much jno . However i would suspect you might need to look into why it says "engine error" rather than just get rid of it . I unfortunately am too ignorant to tell you
