hi fitted a new diesel solenoid to my mondeo 1997 but the car wont start been told it has to be ford solenoid and not a multi purpose one and has to be coded in is this true thanks

Yes you do need a ford one, but it dosn't need coding in. Just make sure it's for a mondeo 97. that's all
