Of course the PM beat up Sir Beer easy enough but I love the way he also swats the bit part whining Labour women who spout their poorly researched BS. ....and I just love the way he swatted that annoying SNP bloke who seems only to care about calling for a ceasefire in Gaza when he knows calling for it wont make it happen. Plonker!

TTT - surprised not to see a post from you about yesterday's Chase and the rather 'unusual' contestant :)

haven't watched it yet, I was at a birthday bash yesterday, I'll have a look at that later.

I appreciate that many people are not happy with the way the UK has been/is being governed. But Keir Starmer as an effective leader? I just can't see it.

at PMQs, Sunak said "we are reallocating money saved from Phase 2 of HS2". that is 100% untrue. money for HS2 was to have been borrowed against future ticket sales, in 2027. There is no money to be reallocated, it doesn't exist. Thus the £4bn-odd fund promised for local authorities to fill their potholes, or pay off their bankruptcy obligations, consequently also doesn't exist.

so far, nobody has challenged these false statements. surely a house of 600-odd MPs aren't all so thick as to misunderstand government sleight of hand?

mushroom: "so far, nobody has challenged these false statements. surely a house of 600-odd MPs aren't all so thick as to misunderstand government sleight of hand?" - err I don't think the it's the MPs me old china. Think it through.....

Mushroom, it's down to accounting practices and budgets.

The money may have been intended to be paid back but it still would have been allocated up front.  Therefore its now available.  How it gets paid back (it wont and never would) is another matter.

We'll be there in two weeks ...

Rather ironic that the northern powerhouse/levelling up was supposed to stimulate economically the deprived north. And now they are just going to get a few pot holes filled in and some more heavy buses to churn them up again.

You really think HS2 would have done anything for the North Gromit?

> P M Qs .....

... was a disgrace.

> A Gun Fight

More like a bunfight. They'd rather bicker with each other than address the pressing problems of the UK and the wider world.  Absolutely pathetic, a vacuum of leadership at a time when it's really needed.

// You really think HS2 would have done anything for the North //

the whole point of HS2 was capacity, of which there is none spare on the WCML. moving the fast trains to new infrastructure would provide the extra capacity for more passenger journeys between the Midlands, Stoke/Crewe, Stand Manchester/Liverpool, and more freight capacity to Garston, Trafford Park and points north to Lanarkshire.

The usual TTT attempts at Tory Spin; judge for yourself as at PMQ Sunak seems to have forgotten that the Tories have been in power for the last 14 years.

What a vote loser Sunak, is ,to say... We are the party that gave the UK.  The first Jewish PM,The first female PM,The first Black Chancellor ,The first muslim home secretary, and now the first British Asian PM. Bet that will win a lot of votes from Brexiteers who voted out to stop immigration, and take back control of our own Borders What a wally, get the gun out Rishi and aim for the foot.  I think he had too much to drink at the last birthday bash he went to.

don't you find it embarrassing to lick the PM's bottom so often?

okay so you think pointing to Tories giving roles to women, Jews , Muslims and Asians is a vote loser. Says more about you gulliver

Re HS2 etc. I still can't get my head around why folks need to go dashing about hither & thither all the time. Any ideas?

Apart from 5 years commuting 20 miles into Manchester I always lived within 10 minutes drive of my workplace & with WFH I would have thought the need for travel would be reduced.

NMA 18.45 Your reply actually says more about you 🤣

Even Stephen Flynn (SNP) schools TTT’s hero in today’s PMQ.
