I've never done anything like this before but I'm so delighted with the service received from 'The Cartridge People' that it seems appropriate to give them a feather in the cap. Ordered ink cartridges and AAA batteries at lunchtime yesterday, very very competitively priced, order immediately acknowledged, advised when posted, given expected delivery time, received on time this morning, well packed, expiry date for the ink cartridges 2025, 2026 for the batteries, freepost cartridge recycling envelope and a free courtesy ball point pen.
Brilliant service, and just in case you are wondering - I assure you that I have no connection at all with The Cartridge People.

There are 'basic' black ink cartridges for your printer and 'XL' ones, with the latter containing far more ink. Stinky Ink (which, despite the somewhat odd name, has plenty of fans among ABers) offer an XL one for £18.40:

You can find the basic ones for just a pound or so cheaper from several suppliers but you'd get better value from buying that XL version.

Well, the website in Buenchico’s post (inkredible) sells a set of 4 compatible ink cartridges for my Epson printer for just over £16 – whereas on ebay, three sets of 4 compatible ink cartridges can be bought for less than £10 (free p&p).

Yes Hymie there are bargains to be found on ebay at times. But beware, I've seen out of date or very short date cartridges being offered there.

that's right Chris - XL are very good - I did think you advocated the Ink'Toner - I do print very little now

I’ve never had problems with compatible ink cartridges purchased from ebay for my Epson printer, sometimes I have had them for up to a year before installing.
