Anyone had one of these? I have one at the moment and last evening got a shock. My BP is normally 145/59 ish when I take it at home but higher in surgery so they wanted me to have a monitor. Yesterday evening just sitting reading or watching TV and it kept rising every half hour up to about 232. It worried me.

This morning back to 144/78. I do not understand how BP varies so.
Anyone similar experience?

Me too. :-)

Sorry, anne. I misunderstood.
I checked it with my machine so, unfortunately, their monitor is accurate.
(I believe anne has a nursing background, Gill so she was probably thinking of what she had come across in her experience.)

Are you feeling a little more relaxed now Gill? It is not easy to put something like BP out of your mind when it has given you such a start.

Just got to ignore it to a certain extent.
Will change diet a bit but eat quite healthily already.
More greens and no chocolate biscuits.
Fortunately I don't stress easily or imagine worst case scenario it just caught me unawares. Makes it worse when no one at home
to discuss things with.
That’s ok Gill. I agree being alone can be worrying sometimes. I would say if you have an abnormal reading again to contact gp, best wishes .
