Has gulliver moved to the Highlands?
Some people do not realise that Private Eye is a satirical publication (for much of its content).
Don't help him, Hymie, he needs to do the work himself. :-)
yes I think it is automatic from lawyers
loser pays

and you can be right and lose a case, and get a whopping bill from both sides

and
I would not want anyone to be deterred from applying for a judicial review because of costs and affordability

god I would

dja remember the troublesome ( turbulent ) teacher who was mixing it over gender. A boy wasnt a girl or was or... something else

she took her school to court - applied for a judical review ( not a review but to show jsut cause)
and the judge ( judgie baby) said No
and awarded costs - £14 000 ( one day - about right)

and heavens woe is me - "I have to sell the house!".

yeah ..... didnt anyone tell her?
I think cases should be judged by unbiased professional legal eagles before it goes to court, and the situation regarding what one is liable for, for each possible outcome, determined in advance.

Someone with a genuine/realisic claim to justice ought not have to find the money to go for it themselves. Those aware that a loss is very likely ought to be told that in the event of losing the costs that will be theirs to cover. Deciding afterwards seems a bit off.
we are talking about £500 000 for Harry;s little dalliaunce in the High Court

Justice is only for rich guys - didnt we know that?
OG that has never been the case
even when legal aid was conceived of, as like the NHS only law.

Sweden and NZ have no-fault pay outs, and have their own set of problems
should be judged by unbiased professional legal eagles before it goes to court,

well that DIDN'T happen with Boris and the committee - they all piled in and said " me me me" - at £1000/h

with solipsisms (=crap) a plenty - which even we cd scout
if you're okay footing Boris's legal aid, I can't see any reason to balk at Harry's. Perhaps the question is why Britain's legal system costs so much.
come on come on
Boris didnt get legal aid
he was assisted in securing representation at a committee ( which cd sanction him)

Harry was involved in a court case, and has to find hisown costs, and if loses usually the other sides
Harry the scrote has 5 litigation cases going in the UK at the moment.
Let him pay his own costs. As usual he pleads he is a victim. Send him packing back to La La Land. and soon his popularity and awe will wane Spotify does not have nice words for Ginge and Whinge and he is regarded as a 'f.....in Grifter' whatever that means but I'm pretty sure it's not nice but appropriate.
