Niece has decided on new bathroom. Asked me if its cheaper to put wall tiles on or the wall panels, i presume she means the ones that look like plastic, ive no idea so does anyone know? I did say to her it depends on price per square metre of each but still at a loss lol. TIA

can she do both, or is she going to factor a persons time costs in too?
The panels are considerably cheaper if she's having the work done by a tradesperson. There are some quite nice ones now but for me, they still look a little bit like a campsite washroom.
Zacs, you've really got to start hanging around more upmarket toilet blocks. ;o)
PVC or acrylic, there are plenty of smart panels around now. I've used them as splashbacks in my kitchen.
Preferably straighten up the walls by fixing battens to them. Then simply glue the panels to the battens.
They make matching jointing connectors and end trims as well.

As for cost comparisons... it depends on the complexity of the job. Tiles can be easier to cut around fiddly bits, but panels are quicker to cover a whole wall.

As always, there's no single answer to your question. quotes are the only way to go.

The Builder i will pass this onto her
I love the "wet wall" in my bathroom. So easy to clean, always looks good whereas when I had tiles, the grouting got so grubby.
sorry when i said can she do both, i really meant can SHE do both hrself, or is it a case of hiring someone as panels wil probably go up quicker (meaning cheaper in time) if she can do either herelf, less important
If I was doing my bathroom, I would definitely go for the panels, but I think there may be a difference in quality so probably best to go for the better quality ones.
