We have just returned last Thursday from Cyprus, before we came home we had to get tested in Cyprus and as we are double jabbed a day 2 test. We ordered our test from Randox, last Saturday my husband and I did the test, there is a designated post box in Sunderland, but we could not find it so I posted it in one that said it was also an NHS post box, in due course I received an email saying my test was being processed and then another to say it was negative...my husbands sample looks to have been lost. I got in touch with Randox who have tried to find the sample with no luck. It is now day 7, my husband has no symptoms, Random said to get in touch with PHE Newcastle, the phone does not get answered, I have read that there is a £2000 fine for not doing the test, but we did and it is lost, we can prove that we bought the test, does anybody have any thoughts on what we do now ?
Surprise, surprise my husbands test has just arrived at Randox, well outside of the hours it is supposed to be tested, and they will know this, but it has been tested and this morning it was negative, what a load of nonsense this is .
I had a test in France last Tuesday which was negative but the only person who showed any interest was the check in woman who asked me if I'd tested negative and accepted my answer of yes and didn't ask for proof. What a waste of time and money!
I think these tests are a big scam, yes you should be tested ,but we had a test just before we left Cyprus cost 8 euros each, then we had to do these other randox tests £45 each !
Test are not necessary. The pandemic is over. It's gone. Look at the figures on the govt website. Positive tests are barely turning into cases, and deaths even fewer. It is no more. It's a late pandemic. It's dead my lad.
