Paint On Brickwork

I am trying to remove some oil paint that has been on brickwork for many years. I have tried a paint stripper and a blowtorch with no success. The paint is in streaks rather than a large area and the bricks have a rough finish.
Any ideas gratefully received.

I've had good results using a pressure washer with a sand-blasting attachment.
Very easy to use, but you do have to be careful to not overdo it and wear away too much brickwork.
Pin scabbler will work.
You'll be left with a different colour (clean) but if it matters you could scabble the whole wall.

I had never heard of a scabbler before but have looked it up. I think it will be too aggressive for the rustic bricks and take off most of the high points/waves. I think the sand blasting option will be a safer option.
Thanks for your help.
