I doubt the construction of the felt roof would be able to withstand the additional weight of the solar panels – but why not ask a solar panel installer for a quote?

The roof aint felt - roof covering is felt. What's underneath?

I know felt is the covering – the structure under the felt is unlikely to be as substantial as that required to support a tiled roof.
