Right. Does anyone have a little hole at the top of the ear, just before the point at where the ear meets the top of your cheekbone?  My son has one on one ear, and someone whose hair I cut has one on each side. What is the significance of these? Is it some throw back to caveman days?  They serve no purpose at all. I said to my client I would ask the guys at AB!! Someone will know!! He and I eagerly await loads of sensible and silly replies. And no they are not piercing holes!!!

I don't have an answer for your question but I've been reading some coments that says people that have this little holes don't break their bones and I have this holes in both of my ears and I've broke my ankle, my wrist and two fingers. I don't know if that's because I don't take care of myself or whatever but yeah. My mum also have these holes and she broke her finger 3 years ago so I don't think the holes have something to do with heeling faster or stronger bones...
Hello Fellow Travelers
I have them on both sides. I believe everything has its purpose. The gifts we receive from our Creator are blessings. It is up to us to pray and seek knowledge, guidance courage strength
Hi
I was born with them on both sides. Preauraicular sinus/ear holes/dimples I believe have a purpose. If we ask the right person why and what we are supposed to do when our awakening comes or our gifts it will come to light. The gifts are blessings from our Lord. I was raised catholic but no longer do the traditional stuff. I pray directly to Him. With certain gifts come responsibilities. Our mission is to seek and pray for guidance, knowledge, strength and above all a genuine loving heart to be able to successfully accomplish what our Lord has placed us here to do. I am 28 years old and am a late bloomer for my own certain reasons. I've always felt a deep knowing that I am to serve/help others. To help the lost find their way back to their rightful path on this journey of life. To share my life's experiences in hopes of conveying what has been my strength in times of despair. We are here for a purpose. We are ALL here for a purpose. We must help one another awaken and realize what the true answer is to everything. LOVE will play a big part in it. Thanks and praise to God who enlightens. Without him I am nothing.

Hi I was born with one in each ear. I had one medically removed as a baby. I am the only one in the family that has them. I cant swim and when I was a child my mom said I use to sleep walk and when I dream well remember them they are very vivid real and true, I also experience alot of deja vue's. I am 35 and have never broken a bone and feel as if I don't experience pain like others would ex: during childbirth, surgerys etc. I heal fast and recover easily. Doctor's are always amazed. I have OCD and known to be very smart I can learn easily by being shown once.
I know this is very old, but I've read through the responses, and felt I had to add my own. I have these holes, one on each side. The doctor told my parents they were throwbacks to "cave people", some sort of prehistoric oil pores. I am over fifty, so it's been a while. Never had ANY issues with these. None. No weird drainage, no odor, though they might feel a little "oily" now and then, if rubbed. I've even had a doc look at the, who sad he had literally no idea what they were, and the only way to know would be to "explore" surgically. No, thanks! No one ever said they should be removed, either. One of my several kids has one on one side only, and NO trouble, ever, with his, either; the rest don't. However, we do have some fun "family traits". My mother would dream the sex, length, weight, hair and eye color for babies in the family, before they were born. Way before ultrasounds were common, and she was always 100% correct. Freaked out the rest of the family. She'd know if one of us was hurt or in trouble, too, and could "read" people. My dad and I could pick words from the other one's thoughts, though he said it was me, not him. Siblings can "hear" what people think, and so can my kids, all of them. I apparently "send", instead. I can read people, even from a photo or video, and a sensitive to emotions in others, and even feel strong ones from people. Dreamed my grandmother died, sort of, before she did. Grey-cloaked figure separated us, and I woke up screaming. Ghost stuff in the family history. Seen things move, sensed things, etc. Known when kids were in trouble, and can feel actual pain when a relative has it, at times. Can sometimes "push" a light to change, or a driver to change lanes. And, yes, a feeling that there is something more to these than some rare "anomaly: or whatever.

To address some other things mentioned by people, yes, some Scottish ancestry, no idea what part, though. Irish, too, and German, and Italian, and some American Indian, probably Creek. Connections, very indirect, to royals. Yes, I heal fast, and no, I don't swim well, though I can swim a little. Not good at sports, and don't really care for most. LOVE music. Fast reflexes. Higher IQ - 140-150, tested - not sick much, and not serious usually when am, though asthma is an issue. Can be what I'd call a messy perfectionist. Sleep walking? My sister said I did once. Noises in ears? Maybe sometimes.

I have other rare traits, too, seems to be a lot of them. Rare eye color, green, Rh negative blood, blonde, extra sensitive smell, good night vision, and a night person, lower body temp, high arches, not flexible at all, can't curl my tongue, as a female (and ALL my girls are like this, too), ring finger is longer (about 5% are like that), detached earlobes, curly hair, palmaris longus tendons (pops up in wrist), and of course these cool little holes!

Would love to chat with others who are interested! [email protected]
A preauricular pit is a small hole in front of the upper ear, located just between the face and the cartilage of the ear rim. A preauricular pit may occur on one or both sides of the ear. It is a common birth abnormality. Most people with this type of hole in the ear do not experience additional symptoms.
