Right. Does anyone have a little hole at the top of the ear, just before the point at where the ear meets the top of your cheekbone?  My son has one on one ear, and someone whose hair I cut has one on each side. What is the significance of these? Is it some throw back to caveman days?  They serve no purpose at all. I said to my client I would ask the guys at AB!! Someone will know!! He and I eagerly await loads of sensible and silly replies. And no they are not piercing holes!!!

I had one on both my ears. One sunny day last year after school, I was hit unexpectedly with a tennis ball right on the spot where one of them was located. It got infected and swollen and after a couple months, I had surgery. Everything is over now, but I have a scar there. I still have one hole that I hope will cause no problems, and yes, it does have smelly pus come out sometimes, and I've also heard that when i get sick, it's clear.

One side not however, I've fractured my clavicle playing capture the flag (running in to some one), but it wasn't broken.

Apologies on the first post.

Hi, I'm Lily, 29 years old. I have two holes on both sides of my ears. One of them had an infection 12 years ago. I had a minor operation on this. The doctor cut its skin to extract the pus and left it open covered by a bandage to let the pus flow freely on the bandage. I ingested several types of antibiotics to help my wound heal. It took me six months to heal, which isn't ordinary. Usually, my wounds heal fast. Faster than anyone can in my community. I thought I heal fast because I'm a protein lover person. I love protein rich foods. And since protein helps re-build damaged tissues, I thought it was the reason why I heal fast. Moreover, I've have never broke a bone since birth. I have consulted to an EENT doctor years ago. The kind of anti-biotic he prescribed helped me heal my wounds. He suggested that I better undergo an operation to permanently remove those holes in my ears. He discussed the steps he's going to do during the operation. He said, he's going to put an ink inside the hole, so he would know the location of abnormal tissues that must be removed. Upon hearing this, I really got scared. Thinking - what if it reached to my brains? I had two holes on both sides, so it means he's going to cut and dig on both holes. No way! I never returned to his clinic since then. And I'm so thankful that my holes were never infected again.

Just a piece of advice to those of the same case, do not rub these holes with your hands. Clean them only after taking a bath. Do not attempt to clean/squeeze them before bathing - that may result to an infection.

With regard to that super powers, well... as I have said earlier, I have not broke a bone ever since and I heal fast except on this case where my holes are involved. LOL. I love being near the water - but I can't swim and I can't breath easily when I'm in the water. Maybe it's because I am an asthmatic person. :P
Absolutely fascinating......stumbled upon this by mistake (was googling something else!!!)
I too have had these 'holes' since birth. Have always been told the are hereditry ( i get them from my Mother) Was also told once that we ALL have them while developing in the womb but in most cases they 'grow over' before we enter the big wide world.
The thing I find fascinating is reading other peoples posts. Had never really thought much about them but I too can confirm like many others that I have never broke any bones, once survived a bad car crash unscathed and nearly drowned once as a youngster.Do seem to heal quickly and not had a day off work sick in four years.
Have always felt a 'little different' to most people and hearing other peoples remarks are making me delve into why a bit deeper.
Would love to exchange some emails to discuss this further.....the mind boggles !!!
Quazpac really started a line here. Can I ask you other 'ear hole people' what blood type are you?

Hello everyone, WOW! WOW! I have a hole on each side, as I gotten older, no puss out of the right ear. I read every post and even watched that horrible video of someone having them removed. I have known about my holes since I was child. I am 34 years old and only knew 1 other person back in high school. I was teased when I was a kid about them and I was embarrassed for I had no answers. I would grow my sideburns long to cover them. I was always curious about what they were. I had lost my hearing when I was 5 but had my annoids removed. That was my only medical trauma I had in my life. I never had broken bones, been in a lot of fights and have beaten people really bad, its like something takes over me. A power. I believe in this idea everyone has talked about. There is an extra sense and ability about them. I overstand people. I do things and see things people dont do. Good people are drawn to me, bad people I have problems with even though I did travel a dark path at one time myself. I have tried to narrow down my one true self for it has some thing more than human about it. I have thought about you people not knowing you. I did know you guys did exist. I did have a dream of a apocalyptic nature. My dream, we were coming out of a manhole, we were under earth or ground and when we came out to the surface everybody was gone and the world as we knew it was empty. Cars, towns, empty .... only to be menaced by something we were meant to defeat. I was raised by mom and my grandmother who told me to always have a pure heart. I do not care about a medical explanation or scientific outlook. You have to fully experienced those abilities to understand.
Has anyone seen face in the public or maybe you drive by someone, and they are looking right at you or maybe through you, like they knew who we are. kind a like that GRIMM show, we see people for they really are or what they aren't. Something is going on. I was raised Catholic, became a christian, no longer publicly attend church but I do speak to some higher power whether its God or not, doesn't matter, its there. Check the clouds. Your power seems sometimes like tunnel vision when you can highly focus and tunnel vision out the rest of everything, my name is John, if you have similiarities, would not doubt it.
Oh yeah my 5 year old son was born with them. I think we are different and special at the same time. Its scary if we are chosen for something, what do we do next or how do we prepare for the transition

iM KInda in shock.. i too have a small hole. im finna turn 25 next month and have never had any broken bones. almost drownded before, and i heal fast.. i also have always had weird dreams.. very spiritual.. thiss so refreshing to know there are others out there like me.. #strange
Yeah, I also have one on the top of my left ear!! never had/got the strange problem with white stuff coming out though :L lol, picked it once until it scabbed over and it stayed scabed and healed for like a month. Then the scab fell off and i was back to square one. I used to tell people my brother threw a dart at my head and managed to stick in my ear, and that it is a wound that never heals! never gets old... And sorry "quazpac" But i have broken a bone before my wrist although i did hurl off three floors up when i was twelve years old, But i'am also currently in the Scottish swimming team...Kind of blown' a hole in ya logic !!
Wow! I must say I am very intrigued by a lot of the answers I have been reading here. I've had the tiny holes on both sides (symmetrical) since birth, from what I understand and I am 33 now. My maternal grandmother also had at least one (she passed on a few months ago). My 2 year old son has one (or 2, I have to double-check). Eerily, I've never broken any bones - though I've had aches & pains of various sorts. I'm not a strong swimmer. In fact I nearly drowned twice when I was much younger! Never to the point of needing resuscitation. The experiences left me feeling as though by some divine intervention, etc. I was not meant to go THAT way.

The thing that really intrigues me in what Quazpac and some others mentioned is that - although I'm not completely sold on the "special powers" idea - I've always had a deep-seeded feeling of having some sort of special purpose in this world. I tried not to dwell too much because I didn't want to feel like I was having delusions of grandeur! I do recall being told by my grandmother (or mother) of the holes' significance with being blessed or protected. It's all pretty fascinating!
i too have these holes in both ears, im 27 and never had a prob with mine. my son has them too and so does my dad. i have tho broken my arm when i was 13. but do heal fast
Hi,

can I get a bit of clarity, people who are posting here, to you have any scottish or Irish blood in your regardless of how far back it might go. and if so can you pin point it to an area in scotland or ireland. thanks
Kidmcophy - I am from Scotland, my ancestors originate from Tulloch area, I myself are from the Borders, with my dad being an aberdonian.
My daughter, whom is now 15, was born with the same hole in the top of her right ear. She has had the same issues as far as it needing to be drained and sometimes it drains on it's own, also, the foul odor. Over the past year it has gotten worse. Major swelling and it has even made a new hole in the side of her face!! It now drains from both areas. The hole in the side of her face is large enough for a pencil eraser to fit into. (Yeah, pretty bad!) I had to take her to a specialist and she is having surgery Wednesday, June 6, 2012 to have it removed. I've spoken to several people that have had these sames holes and they never had problems with theirs. Most of which have closed up! I pray none of you ever have to go through the pain and problems my child has!
I also have a hole on each side of my ear. I am 37 years old and have never broken a bone or been hospitalized for anything. I hardly ever get sick and consider myself to be very spiritual and or sensitive to the nature of things i come encountered with. I also have strong dreams and visions that sometimes come true or are very clear with what seems to be a clear message. I had a dream my fiance had cancer two years before we found out that she really had cancer. I am highly interested in knowing more about this issue if anyone has sincere and authenic info that would be beneficial my e mail address is [email protected] and im available almost anytime of the day.
My 2 yr old daughter has these holes on both ears. She has had them since birth. I have heard all types of myths about them. From them being called "stingie holes" ( meaning she will be cheap/selfish) to them being connected to a future medium ability. The myth is that she was born with a "veil" (a mucus type film) acrosd her eyes that were attached at the holed. The idea is that this will allow her to see ghosts or have some type of pschic ability when she grows. I keep them clean for her, & just think they make her even more unique!
Wow these postings have confirmed many things I have always known about myself. My two holes have brought me many gifts...Although I just turned 41 last month everyone continues to say i am only 24-28... Have never broken any bones, heal extremely quick, can feel a person out in mins. of meeting them, and im incredibly sensitive and overstanding. It's funny cause I've always known I wasn't like the rest. And at my age I have come to realize that I never will be. I often find myself in groups of people watching everything happen around me... It could be a thousand people in the room and I'm the only one not engaged in any conversation ... Just there watching over things. Sometimes the guilt of knowing certain things about someone before they do (or have chosen to accept) eats me alive... I often have to ask people if I can share certain things about themselves with them...lol it's great to know I'm not the only one on the planet with the awkward burden of prophecy and peace... Please continue to post your experiences... This is great...
