Problem With My Tv

A sign has come up in the middle of the screen that says 'The terrestrial antenna is short-circuited'. Any idea why this is please and if there is something I can do about it?

Try unplugging the aerial before pressing the 'Menu' button.

If you can get that far, the path you require is probably Settings > Installation > Antenna Power.

'5V Antenna Power' needs to be set to 'Off'.

mine does that sporadically turn Ariel power off then months later get the same message again i turn it to power on and round and round i go i just got used to doing it that way

All these digi boxes, like the sky boxes, get periodic upgrades and security patches downloaded. Sometimes it beggars up your settings or even needs the box booting up again not just switched from standby mode.
