Hello
Will losing a case of “breach of contract” show up in future dbs clearances?

I’m thinking breach of contract is a civil case not criminal so it won’t?

We are in an ongoing claim where the guy who bought our business is suing for “breach”. It will go to the high court. Our lawyers says we have a good defence but of course nothing is guaranteed!!

Our current line of work requires clear dbs records. And I’m concerned just in case we lose in court.

As you suggest, contract law is entirely a civil matter and totally unrelated to anything which might show up in a DBS check.

Thanks BUenchico!
IF they claim and get a judgement then it will show up on lists of CCJs. which are ( basically irrelevant to your q - but you shd bear it in mind)
