Gove is cold and pernicious and all his colleagues know that. He will never lead the Conservative Party, so will never be Prime Minister, Chancellor, Foreign secretary or Head prefect.

I have never met Mr Gove but my wife's cousin's husband has worked closely with him and describes him as extremely personable, easy to get on with, fiercely intelligent, and very able.

Yes that would be my assessment too. Very likeable on a personal level.
Does come across as smarmy and evasive tho in interviews.
