My personal preference is to get up every hour or so, sometimes less if the puppy/ies have been playing or asleep and take them outside. Its a whole lot of work, but do you ever want a dog to think its ok to pee in the house, even on paper? YUCK!!!
I have 3 dogs all of which were trained in the same way, us making the effort and taking them outside regardless of time of day or night to make sure that they know that outside is the place to go to the loo.
Put the puppies on leads os that you can keep an eye on them whilst outside and use a trigger word/s such as 'quickly' for a wee and 'hurry up' for a poo, that way as they grow up and you are letting them out befor you go out of the house for the day or whatever they associate the words with what they need to do.
Also please don't rub their faces in any accidents they might have in the house. Its not nice and they didn't do it deliberately, blame yourselves for not being attentive enough!!
Thats my advice, hope you find something that works for you
