3 bees have come into my computer room today and I grabbed two of them very gently with toilet roll opened the window and they flew away outside.

the third bee (I can't believe it) - I musta grabbed it a little too much and it lay dying on the window sill not moving, nothing - what do I know but I got some water in a cup and poured it very gently around it - it started to move and the wee legs started moving like it was drinking. I turned it around and it flew away. I just can't believe it.

Guys I don't know if it was bees or wasps. To me it was bees cos aren't they fatter than a wasp.

I know Patsy - no I wouldn't kill anything now except flies. I don't know how they are getting in as my windows are not opened cos I'm a little cold and the heating is on.

Yes Bees are larger than wasps and much more gentle natured than wasps. They are reluctant to sting because they only have one sting where as wasps can sting multiple times. |I think you were dealing with bees.

You did the right thing giving it a drink jj, normally though it's a good idea to put some sugar in the water to make a sweet drink for the bee, but it seems just water worked this time. Well done. I love bees too and would never harm one, they are sadly on the decline, so I keep reading.

The sting of a bee is barbed, whereas a wasp is like a needle. If a bee stings you, leave it, it will walk round in a circle and unscrew the sting.
If you bat it off the sting stays in the skin with half the bees innards and the bee dies. Saw this telly years ago by a beekeeper.

HereIam - I don't have sugar - just those wee pilly things so don't think the bee could wait until one was melted.

Do have a jar of honey tho but it's not opened and I wouldn't open it for a wee bee.

don't give honey to bees. It can infect them and kill them and if they are hive bees, it can infect the hive too.
