Follow the instructions I gave you - they are also here on spath’s link

I've just thought, maybe you can ask siri to do it for you

But yes open settings
Scroll to safari (probs above news)
scroll down to -clear history and website date
click clear history and data

This will forget any usernames or passwords you have saved in safari. It will also log you out of AB, facebook or what not.

Oh god it will delete everything??
I tested that Spath and He gave me the names of confectionery shops!
Yes it will delete all history and website data.
If you're worried by the 'delete all' it just means all cookies.
"I tested that Spath and He gave me the names of confectionery shops!"

LOL he gets in a twist sometimes. He (or she) can open the safari part of settings but not adjust the settings

But even with Answerbank I haven’t a clue what the password is - I never ever log out.
do you have the same email address? Is your email up to date? can you access the email address associated to AB? If so then no worries.

If not you may want to email one of the editors
Question Author
Yes I’ve got same email address. I still get the occasional Answerbankk email when iv accidentally clicked to let me know when anyone posts an answer to one of my posts.
if you have the same email, then there is a password reset link that will allow you to reset your password without knowing your old one. Passwords don't matter, it's the fact you can access the email account associated to your AB account that does, not only does this prove you are who you say you are but as i've said above it allows you to change your passowrd without knowing your old one.
To remove all your cookies in one fell swoop, you can open Settings on your iPad and scroll down to Safari in the left hand column, as shown above. Tap on Safari and, in the middle of the screen, you should see an option to "Clear Cookies and Data."
So before you go to the extent of deleting Safari’s cache etc. Have you tried checking/closing all the pages you have open in Safari, tap the two squares icon top right and it will show you all your open pages, tap the little X in the corner of each to close it. Then double click the home button to bring up all the apps you have open, then swipe each one of them up to close them all. Then do a reboot by holding the power and home button until the iPad restarts. Then see how things get along. None of the above will cause any data loss.

Will try all that. Thanks everyone for all your help x
If we knew why you wished to do this smow we could further assist but i reapect the fact you have no obligation to disclose this
Question Author
On a website that I use to place orders for customers it simply doesn’t recognise certain product codes - I put the code in and it it says it’s either incorrect or doesn’t exist, so I thought the website was playing up, yet when I got several other people to try on their devices all the codes came up just fine. So I tried on my laptop and yes they come up fine on their too. It’s just my iPad. So someone suggested clearing cookies.
yes is would try to 'reset' the browser so to speak by doing the above as well as cookies. It may be a cache error
