Ive met a lovely man but not so long ago had a disasterous relationship which ended badly (dec '05).

I can tell I am starting to 'float' again and my head is all over the place. Any tips on keeping grounded? I need to be because I dont want to go all through heartbreak again. Why do we do this relationship thing??

Glue bricks to the bottom of your shoes :-) you are very lucky that an oppurtunity like this has come up again, some people take ages to be able to get to the stage where they can meet anyone else especially after a bad relationship. Just take one day at a time and dont make everything in your life about him as its all about you now. Try not to think too much about future at the moment just enjoy yourself :-)
We do it because we have to let ourselves go and trust the next person to enjoy the times we have.

There are some lovely people out there in the same boat (I know this from my own experiences) as you.

Take a leap of faith and see what develops. Don't push or rush things, just take your time and enjoy life.
Totally agree with 4getmenot.

Just one question tho Bowieblue, are you the type that falls in love very easy?

Yes too easily, and my head goes off in tangents of what might be and what could be which is always different to what will be... and Im not a teenager either!!!
Yer see you cant be thinking like this, everybody says to have a positive attitude about things, but sometimes it best not to get carried away thinking the best and what could be, as I said one day at a time and take care of yourself first, 8 months is not always long enough to get your self confidence back :-)
But also good that you are looking on bright side and not what if he does this, what if he does that and comparing him to your ex. Good Luck xx
Ride with it, bowieblue. Sooner or later you'll come down to earth and he'll be doing normal 'man' things like trumping in bed etc and you might wish you were still in that floaty stage.
