hiya, i have a tropical fish tank with molly's, platy's, neon's, golden barbs, and a sucker fish. Is it ok to add an aquatic frog, and do they require much looking after?

They need a platform so they can get out of the water sometimes. We had a newt that preferred to sit on the water filter. He disappeared one night, must have lifted the lid somehow and we never found him.
Hope your frog doesn't "hop it".
Cheers

I'm not an expert but I do know that the white coloured ones grow pretty big & will eat the fish you have described, the little brown African frogs won't grow nearly as big & they can live quite happily in a community tank. Mine needed a bit more of a specialist diet, I tried to keep it varied & it liked the frozen food from the aquarium shop...like worms, daphnia & shrimps. I also remember that you shouldn't have small stones in the aquarium because frogs are quite dim & will swallow them accidently...sand is better.
