Had 3 hours sleep and went to bed at 5am and up again at 8 but I still managed to have a good day.

OH and I went shopping - nothing appealed to us for our dads for Fathers Day. So we decided we were out we’d have a Date Day. Had a spot of lunch and went to the pictures.

On our way home debating what to get our dads. We stumbled upon a young girl who’d crashed her car into a field. We stopped to help. She was ok car was a bit of a mess but she was on the phone to her parents when we arrived. Before we stopped 2 cars drove past her. When we stopped another lady stopped to offer help and at least 8 more cars just drove past - made me wonder if any of them would have done the same had we not gone this way Home. We made sure she was ok and she insisted we go. We did but OH went back on his way home and waited with her until her parents arrived.

Then I find out a relative has been very very poorly and has been in hospital and nobody said - bearing in mind this lady looked after me a lot as a child and went out of her way to make sure I was ok after losing Mum. I feel a little hurt but I’m just really glad she is ok and back home. Going to see her through the week.

It’s been a proper day full of fun and sadness and a good deed thrown in.

Going to go rest up for the night with my book and my furries.

Thanks Minty, I always try and stop or get who I’m with to do the same as I hope it would be the same if it ever happened to me.

Thank you Tony - just glad she’s ok. Bound to be a little shaken though.
Yes, could have been a lot worse than that for her.

In all honesty, we could see she was on the phone. But we thought what a random place to stop to make a call, then I saw the air bag. It’s a dreadful corner and she wasn’t familiar with it and it all went a bit wrong.
Well done Queenie, glad you stopped and helped her x
QoM, don't go getting stressed. It won't do your diabetes any good x
Similar happened to my brother and myself once, we were travelling the scenic route home from Wexford when the car in front just swerved off the road, we stopped and went to see was the driver ok, it was long before satnavs, he had a map open over the wheel, it fluttered and made him move suddenly and turning the wheel, landing him into a ditch, we asked all the questions, "are you hurt?" can we contact anyone? he just said he was grand, he'll be ok until he contacts his parents and tells them he crashed the car, then they'll kill him. He was ok thankfully

Thank you Kvalidir and NoM.

I’m not stressed but my diabetes went up the creek on Wednesday - think I came down with a bug. Been fighting tooth and claw to get them back down. I manage 1 pretty decent reading a day but I’m being calm and collected as I can :) xx

Aww Ducksie as long as he survived to tell the tale though- well done on stopping too. The road is a main road with two side roads joining it on a bend. But it’s not quite 90 degree- she didn’t realise and braked too late and into the field via the fence.
I'm glad she's ok too QoM,ye did well to stop - I wish your family friend a speedy recovery from whatever landed her in hospital, you did good girl!!
Well done for going to the rescue, hope your relative gets well soon too Queenie.x
