I've had my iPod for over a year but today when I switched it on the apple logo appeared then a folder with an exclamation mark next to it. It is also making a strange noise....
The Apple site says I should restore it and use the ipod updater...only thing is, the computer my iTunes library is on does not have internet. Do you think it is ok to use this computer (which has iTunes, but an empty library) to restore my iPod....then when I plug it into my laptop (with my library) will it simply put all my songs back on??? I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(It's an iPod 20GB...you know, the ones without the snazzy colour screen.)
ANY help is really appreciated!!! Thank you!

Yea, you'll be able to restore it with any computer, then just plug it back into the one with your music on and it'll dock again.

The iPod updater is a separate program to iTunes though; it will have come on the same CD that iTunes came on in your iPod pack.
