im currently going 2 the gym 3 times a week n doin cardio vascular exercise in the mornings-this involves 2mile joggs twice a week and football 2 twice a week.bt what is the best fing 2 do cus my results arent that gud,shud i do something like 2 weeks body building with no cardio vascular,and then 2 weeks cardio vascular or shud i jus carry on what im doin??

Hi Leeroy,

A lot depends on what you want from gym and how you use the weights, for general workouts your better off using lighter weights and doing more repetitions/sets, where as if you want to bulk up your better off using heavier weights but less reps/sets, running and jugging(cardio) workouts will keep you fit and burn the calories but wont bulk up your muscles.

Ask one of the instructors at the gym...if they're any use at all, they should be able to give you advice on how to acheive your goals.
